Dominique A. Buttitta provides legal services in both the transactional and litigation arenas offered by the firm. For over fifteen years, Dominique has worked both in house and at law firms as an attorney with privately owned businesses and their owners in aspects related to corporate and business transactions, asset protection planning, complex business litigation, commercial and residential real estate matters, estate planning, and probate.
Dominique’s real estate practice spans from aspects related to residential and commercial development to handling acquisitions, zoning and land use regulations, financing and leasing, as well as, commercial and residential closings. She is also a licensed Illinois real estate managing broker and utilizes this knowledge in her capacity as an attorney to ensure that buyers and sellers she represents have a smooth residential or commercial closing process.
Her accounting background and MBA add value in her ability to develop and implement creative and viable solutions for individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses alike. She sits on the Board of Directors of two not-for-profit organizations, was named a “Rising Star” by legal peers for three consecutive years in SuperLawyers® Magazine and Chicago Magazine, a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of Illinois lawyers under the age of 40. Leading Lawyers, a division of Law Bulletin Publishing Company, named Dominique to its 2018 and 2019 inaugural list of Emerging Lawyers. That honor is limited to less than 2% of lawyers in Illinois.
Dominique recently worked in house for Rocky Wirtz, best known as the principal owner of the Chicago Blackhawks and head of Wirtz Corporation with interests in insurance, beverage distribution, banking, and real estate. She is proud to work with her brother, Dominic J. Buttitta, Jr., at the firm working as a team capitalizing on each other’s unique skill sets. Dominique’s careful and intellectually honest practice style helps to avoid unnecessary hostility in some otherwise volatile areas of law. She is dedicated to solving problems and obtaining successful results in an aggressive yet cost effective manner to meet the needs of her clients.
Dominic and Dominique pride themselves on the fact that their names may be easy to remember, but their work is hard to forget. Their sister, Angela, also practices law in the Chicagoland area exclusively in the area of family law. For the Buttitta siblings, great lawyering runs in the family.
